Re: Dayfile.txt Lost

Thanks Ray and again to Steve. I think I will delete the reading and assume it is a glitch.

Re: Dayfile.txt Lost

Thanks again Steve. Would you agree the rain rate reading of 1645.8 mm/hr at 0208 on the 23 November is wrong? If so, what is the best way for me to correct it, please?

Thanks, Chris

Re: Dayfile.txt Lost

Thanks for your speedy reply, Steve. Yes, I was looking at the Dayfile.txt file in Notepad. I looked in the back-up hierarchy but the latest Dayfile.txt was for 22 January, which was complete up to that date. Should there have been a later versions there? I did the rebuild Dayfile.txt option and thi...

Dayfile.txt Lost

I am using Cumulus 1.9.4 on a Windows 8.1 computer. Yesterday (1 February) I noticed that when I looked at View\This year, only displayed data for February. I then used the period 1 January to 28 February to display the View\This period and the same happened, only data for February was displayed. Ho...

Re: Cumulus and OneDrive

Thanks Jeff. I have taken your advice and used a program to sync the Cumulus data folder files to OneDrive every 24 hours. Synctoy appears to now be outdated, but I found Freefilesync that is free and reviewed well. I now have it running on my Windows 8.1 weather station computer, that I run 24/7, w...

Cumulus and OneDrive

I would be grateful for any advice about using Cumulus with OneDrive, please. I use two Windows 10 PCs, a Windows 8.1 PC (for running Cumulus and updating data to the Internet) and an iPad, and have just started using OneDrive to back-up data and files from all the computers and make it available to...

Re: Davis Vantage Pro 2 Plus - Non-recording of Little Rain

Thanks again to Steve for his comments, and to PaulMy and Ray Proudfoot for their additional comments. I now have a better understanding of recording very small amounts of rain. I am yet again very impressed with this Forum, both with the knowledge of other members and their willingness to share it ...

Re: Davis Vantage Pro 2 Plus - Non-recording of Little Rain

Thanks for your helpful reply, Steve. I will check what you suggest.

In the meantime do you (or anyone else) have any comments on whether I should I keep to what Cumulus says about no rain being recorded or override it using my own observation that it rained, albeit a very little?

Davis Vantage Pro 2 Plus - Non-recording of Little Rain

I have been using a Davis Vantage Pro 2 Plus weather station for about a year that replaced a Fine-offset WH3080 station that I had used for about three years before that. I have been very pleased with the Vantage apart from a niggle when recording (or rather, not recording) very small amounts of ra...

Re: Daylight Saving Time Problem

Re my earlier query, I have now found the work around by changing a setting in my amateur radio logging program.

Daylight Saving Time Problem

The change from GMT to Daylight Saving Time in the UK last night has caused me a problem with the time that Cumulus records data from my Davis Vantage Pro-Plus weather station. I have had this problem before and cannot remember what the work around is, despite searching back through the messages As ...

Wunderground Banner Problems

I am trying to create a banner, first for my website and then to use when posting messages on the forums here, but I have been going round in circles despite reading a lot of previous messages on the forum, so much so that I am now asking for some help, please. I am using Cumulus on a Windows 8.1 co...
