Re: Chandler Burning Index
Re. FWI Calc. What tags are are you using from cumulus? In particular where FWI wants the rain in last 24hrs. the closest I can find is yesterdays total rain which is 12hrs behind. I am reluctant to use total rainfall for year as sometimes get strange readings (Fine offset, though no problems since ...

Re: Possible Bug/Error?
Thanks Steve for your help
My ISP has not failed since so I hope the problem has gone with it.
I have kept the debuglog running if it happens again.
There's probably nothing we can do until it happens.
Thanks
Wayne

Re: Possible Bug/Error?
Yes the server had gone down in fact for 2 hrs this time. Realtime ftp running fine until server goes down.
The problem is when the server comes back Cumulus has already given up on realtime ftp.
I shall turn on debug log.
thanks

Re: Possible Bug/Error?
Hi Steve,
Looking at the realtimeftplog.txt Cumulus seems to have 3 attempts at sending the realtime file then aborts for good.
Should I try to reinstall Cumulus?
Html files OK Thanks

Re: Possible Bug/Error?
I don't know if this is related to your realtime problem But I have noticed that Cumulus gives up sending Realtime file if there has been some FTP connect timeouts. Html files OK. Manual Web Updates same problem. This seems to be a daily affair as the ISP gets busy around 5:00pm Not noticed it on ea...

Re: USB connection dropping
Does the panel beep and light up the display? I had trouble with mine, it did the above and flatlined the graphs. Sometimes fixed by restarting Cumulus others by having to reset USB device in control panel as well. The panel is lying on it's back and is only used for Cumulus. Suspected touch pad in ...

Re: The inside of the ws-1081
To remove the touch screen is the ribbon soldered in or is it just plugged in? I have just had some problem with my unit suspect due to touch screen. It would beep and light up on its own intermittently. Unable to use touch screen seemed like was permanently pushed. Gave crape data on graphs. Came r...

Re: Watson W8681 - Extension Leads for sensors
Hi,
Went about 10 metres, but had trouble with resistance using standard phone cable on the wind direction, so used Cat6 cable using 2 wires per conductor to reduce voltage drop. No problems so far.

Rather than diving in in the deep end. Now to check out how ...

Re: Lose Wind Average after closing Cumulus
Sorry my mistake it is the average wind direction that it loses the plot. Yes it happens every time when I close cumulus. the blue average dot copy's the red direction dots. Its not a big problem as the graphs new data comes in they are correct, so only a problem for 24 hours. Would fully uninstalli...
