Re: Highcharts Tides

Hi Mark, Firstly, a big thank you for putting this together and getting something out that I have been able to implement. I have spent a few days on this trying to learn whats going on and using some of the little knowledge I gleamed from working with the CumuluxMX charts to get the following. http:...

Re: Highcharts Tides

Hi Mark,
Thanks. Will take a look when I get back home in a couple of days. Have had to put my web stuff on hold for some sort of family New Year get together. Funny, it only seems like a week since we had the last get together.

Enjoy the New Year everyone and here is to keeping Cumulus alive.

Re: Highcharts Tides

Hi Mapantz, Had the same and already reported back to Mark. It seems to be caused by the very first line of tideDemo.php file where it has this: <?php require 'zbblock.php'; ?> It looks for this file and as it doesnt find it hangs. I removed it and all is ok. Read my post on bottom of page 2 of this...

Re: Highcharts Tides

Hi Mark, I got a chance to look at this tonight. For me it works ok, I just need to make some chamges to colurs, size etc so it fits in with the rest of my website. A couple of things I noticed. It didnt immediately load when I put it on my Pi that I use as a webserver. The error seems to be in the ...

Re: Highcharts Tides

Hi Mark, That’s brilliant and very quick. Thanks so much, that would have taken me weeks to even get just a basic graph. I will download and have a look tomorrow to try and understand :D Is it using the straight download of the json file from the Admiralty. From what I read and have downloaded so fa...

Re: Highcharts Tides

Sorry to open an old thread but a tide chart has been in my head for a while, especially since the UK Admiralty opened an API https://admiraltyapi.portal.azure-api.net/ I have signed up and currently put a 7 day table for selected ports of interest on my website but it would be nice to show this in ...

Re: MX Randomly "stops" on Pi3

Hi Mark, Thanks for the reply and apologies in the delay getting back. I rarely use the interface of MX (I assume you mean logging into the local MX on port 8998) and the last time it occurred I was actually away and didnt have access to it. It hasnt happened again since, so I will just monitor it f...

MX Randomly "stops" on Pi3

Hi All, A couple of times in the last few weeks Cumulus appears to have "stopped" and the only way to recover is to re-boot the Pi. I am not sure if its just not uploading to my website or if stopped completely. I am currently working away from home so dont have as much acces as I would like to the ...

Re: Bash scrip

The Timelapse runs on an old Windows PC using some external software (IPTimelapse) as the PI wasnt able to handle creating 3 video images. It snaps frames using rtsp from my cameras every 10 seconds and then compiles the videos just after midnight each day. Its scheduled to captue between dawn and d...

Re: Bash scrip

Thanks for this post Simon. Inspired with the idea I did the same for my webcams. All generated on a PI (which also runs my CumuusMX) and managed to integrate a background image using Imagemagick so it blends in with the rest of my website.

Re: Issue with MX Graphs

Thanks Steve,

Took option 1 an removed the lines out of dayfile.txt. Graphs back to normal and all looking good.

Now to work on "did I install the RTC properly and is it working "issue.

Appreciate the help as always.

Re: Issue with MX Graphs

Hi Steve, Many thanks for the quick response and the pointers. In the dayfile I found entries (in the following order) for 30/6/18, 1/7/18, 31/12/99, 31/12/99, 31/12/99, 2/7/18, 3/7/18) Also there is an MXdiag file created with this date - 20000101-001741 that contains this. 2000-01-01 00:17:45.399 ...

Issue with MX Graphs

Hi All, We had a power cut at the weekend and since then the "daily" graphs for rain and temperature have been displaying incorrectly showing a 100 year span. Everything else seems to have survived. This has obviously been caused by the incorrect shutdown of my Raspberry Pi so I am just wondering if...

Re: Wind Speed Abnormality

All seems to be resolved now. I dismantled everything and tested it all, all components seemed to be working. I then decided to extend the cable directly from the wind vane to the transmitter (the anemometer plugs directly into the wind vane). This however is hard wired into the wind vane so needed ...
