Re: is this normal?
So the Ecowitt is the main station - not being used as a source for additional sensors?

How does the Ecowitt communicate with Cumulus?

Re: is this normal?
I don't think those are bars - thats where the data drops to zero for some reason. I have seen this with my Ecowitt extra sensors - if I recall its when I restart Cumulus I think. For some reason your data is dropping out.

Here is what I typically see:

Your numbers seem reasonable - but depends on people in the area, ventilation (air changes/hour) etc. so all I can say is reasonable.Guy

Re: WH40 Rain Gauge as extra sensor
Thanks! As I mentioned I have a workaround for now. I have a similar situation with a Davis station where the humidity sensor has failed. I have been able to replace humidity readings with those from another sensor - again for PWS dashboard.

Re: New Record? Post here.
Recorded 45.35 in/1,151 mm for 2023 here in NE Ohio. Not the wettest and complicated by lake effect snow, but still quite damp!

Re: WH40 Rain Gauge as extra sensor
May have solved it. My meteobridge sees the WH40 - I can use an extra data file created in that system to override the rain data displayed from the Tempest in PWS Dashboard. Hmm.

WH40 Rain Gauge as extra sensor
I have a Tempest Weatherflow as my main station and am using an Ecowitt GW1000 with multiple sensors for "extra sensors". The haptic rain sensor is not the best. But when using the PWS dashboard templates I can replace some of the displayed primary data with another sensor. I have a WH40 r...

@rayproudfoot
No mountains - but we do get lake-effect snow and sometimes rain as we are south of Lake Erie. I would need to look at those years to see when the heaviest rainfall months occurred.

Re: Annual rainfall reached on 1 October!
Not quite at annual here in NE Ohio. Wet August, dry Sept - will see. Our wettest years were 2017, 2018 and 2020 with over 50 inches of rain.

Re: FTP errors
Interesting - turns out the server had insufficient disk space - at least according to another error message on my Meteobridge system and tech support when I asked for help. The same error started appearing in my CMX logs. I will monitor and see if that resolves my other FTP messages on CMX(?).

Re: FTP errors
FTP logging is not enabled - I did for a short time this morning to see if I could see anything - nothing stood out.
It does appear the files affected are realtime interval files.
Let me try the router reboot.
