Re: Version 4

Upgraded to version 4 on 15th May - all seemed well but I now understand the website hasn't updated since! I use my own web version and it's years since that was developed - brain has forgotten what was done and how, but I can't, at the moment, work out why there are no files being ftp'd to the serv...

Console/data logger

I thought - and hoped - the data logger on the Davis stations would store data when there was a battery backup installed. It is, and fresh batteries. We had a power outage at 0600, returning at 1100, Otto struck. The graphs, for wind, on MX shows a gust of 55 kt this morning at 0600, then a straight...

Re: What's CumulusMX doing?

Where do the log files go?

I had data and ftp logging switched on, but can't find any file for data.
ftp logging is in the main CumulusMX folder.

Host PC is running Win10, the web interface on Win11.

Mapantz wrote: Tue 06 Sep 2022 3:38 pm I think you'll need to turn on debug and data logging in program settings.. let it run for a short while, then post the files zipped up to here.

For comparison, my CMX has 13.9GB in the last 30 days.
OK, thanks.

What's CumulusMX doing?

See attachment. Cumulus MX server is run on one PC (weather) connected to the console. v3.20.1 build 3203 A second PC runs the web interface... Browsing my router I noticed a high bandwidth under the weather PC. Looking at the Network diagnostics on the PC I noticed the high figure as seen on the at...

OK, thanks Mark. Booklet obvious didn't keep up!

Cheers.

VP2 - Comms

Hi all, It happens regularly everytime I change the battery in the ISS; dropouts in contact between the console and the ISS. Usually it settles after about a week, but this current spell has lasted almost 3 weeks, though the frequency of drops is less than they were. In the small set-up manual it ta...

apple8 wrote: Fri 21 Jan 2022 5:46 am Given that the pressure wave spreads in all directions from one point and the planet is more or less round, hypothetically is there a point where they all meet and what happens there?
One would suspect, much like the tide and waves on the sea - in opposite directions, there's an amplification.

Re: Tonga Eruption

That's some shock wave, just slightly faster than the speed of sound and, it seems, comparable with estimates on Krakatoa.

Very interesting calculations - here in NE Scotland I have to use a bit of licence to see anything really beyond the first two waves.

Re: Tonga Eruption

I wanted to check back through the graphs to see if I'd had a similar spike in the data, but on my localhost/charts display I have 12 hours of data on display. Only "All" is emboldened, the other 3 options are greyed out. I assume there's a way to check back on previous days, or have I lo...

Re: Re Pressure Change

I was 'just' querying why, if C1 reported 3 hourly As far as I know C1 used the same as MX, the three hour change expressed as a rate per hour? Capture.jpg Thanks Mark, I was going by the realtime.txt fields.... 19 +0.1 pressure trend value (The average rate of pressure change over the last three h...

Re: Re Pressure Change

Your subject title says "outside temperature change", yet you seem now to be focussed on "pressure change". For original post on Cumulus pressure trend text, based on three hour change see https://cumulus.hosiene.co.uk/viewtopic.php?p=14832#p14832 , it has been repeated in many ...
