Re: Cumulus-MX Crashing

You are correct. After reading the first post(again) I realized that the link is not elevated. Also, I got a notice from windows firewall that it wanted access to the outside world. My startup link now runs in admin mode so all is good. I did notice that some of the records are off the charts.. it w...

Cumulus-MX Crashing

Hi Steve, I've been happy with how MX build 3038 has been working on my last windows 10 machine. I just upgraded to a super fast I7 64bit (from A10) and now MX is crashing. Attached is a screen print of the desktop at the time. Any clues as to solving this would be most appreciated. I'll help wherev...

Re: Can't Change MX(3036/3038) long/lat Settings!

One or more items, somewhere on the page, will have an error message associated with it/them. OK. Found it. In the Davis Section (which I do not use) there are two radio buttons. (serial and tcp/ip). Neither was clicked by default, so all the fields on the Station Settings went red. Might I suggest...

Can't Change MX(3036/3038) long/lat Settings!

Greetings, Not sure what I'm doing wrong. MX is working fine, but when I zoom in on my station in google maps, it's off by a bit. So I went into the station settings using http://localhost:8998/stationsettings.html, and it allowed me to change the long and lat fields. However, when I pressed 'save' ...

Re: Reporting adjustments

You can apply an offset in Cumulus in the calibration settings, but the best way is to set the relative pressure on your station correctly - instructions should be in your station's manual (the method varies slightly between Fine Offset models). You need to restart Cumulus after doing that to pick ...

Reporting adjustments

I've been told that my station is reporting pressure data inaccurately. So I checked the barometric pressure of about 6 or 7 sites close to me. Mine are considerably lower. I do not have the funds to repair or replace my unit. However, since the difference seems to be consistent, is there a way to i...

Can't place my finger on it....

Something weird going on and I can't seem to put my finger on it, so to speak.. MX runs fine. It is reporting what my station is sending. However... When I stop it after 1/2 hour or so and restart V1.94, it reloads all the records it missed since it stopped and the 'catch up' indicator blinks. The l...

Re: CumulusMX unhandled exception

Double clicking on CumulsMX.exe is the wrong way to start CumulusMX in Windows. You should right click on CumulusMX.exe and select "Run as Administrator" as per the notes. If you do not start it this way it may fail to write certain files which might explain why your today.ini is not bein...

Re: CumulusMX unhandled exception

I'll need some more information about what you're doing, please. When you say you've installed build 3036, do you mean that you were previously running another build and have upgraded, or have you not had MX running successfully at all? It look like you are running MX with a copy of your Cumulus 1 ...

There are no files in the diags folder.

However, I did find a folder MXdiags, in which there is the following:

20160114-160635.txt
20160114-161144.txt
20160114-171203.txt

The last file is attached.

Hello, I have just setup a webcam with the yawcam software. It is creating a file series called image00.jpg - image96.jpg. As indicated in yawcam dox, image00.jpg is always the newest file created, which is perfect. :D I have these created at 15 minute intervals. It appears that yawcam does not reso...

Re: Invalid date format(bad integer)

Steve, I'm really not so sure why you have a bee in your bonnet over this. My intent was not to be derogatory, but merely to report a bug/design flaw/whatever to you. The arguments you presented are valid. However, this is something that should have been nipped in the butt a long time ago. Why are y...
