Which Weather Station should I buy?
My Fine Offset WH1080 didn't last long :( I did set it up in the spring and it had numerous connection problems and since a month there was no rain info anymore, the contact cable is heavily corroded... and it didn't even experience a winter. Right now I cant get radio contact to it at all anymore.....

Weather PC hardware
Not sure where too post, so here goes in general.
Since Cumulus is Windows only I can't host it anywhere "environmental friendly". I don't want this on my Power PC that consumes lots of electricity. Can't install it on my Synology NAS.
What do you use? Old laptops? Custom builds?

Oops, I wondered why I didn't get responses, but I was not automatically subscribed to my own post. Changed that setting now

I just acquired a used Fine Offset WH1080. The USB port on it is a flat type. How am I ever going to connect it to my PC? PCs only have flat type ports and the only USB cables I know are flat to square. I have never seen an USB cable with male flat types on both sides... :cry: Anybody have the same ...
