Welcome to the Cumulus Support forum.

Latest Cumulus MX V4 release 4.0.1 (build 4023) - 16 May 2024

(Note that 4.1.0 (build 4024) - 05 June 2024 remains available, but usage of this version is not recommended - particularly for Davis stations - and the included utility in this distribution for migrating to v4 is known to contain errors affecting conversion of dayfile.txt)

Latest Cumulus MX V3 release 3.28.6 (build 3283) - 21 March 2024

Legacy Cumulus 1 release 1.9.4 (build 1099) - 28 November 2014
(a patch is available for 1.9.4 build 1099 that extends the date range of drop-down menus to 2030)

Maybe a problem with your network? is it very slow? Please try to run a debug log: - create an empty debug.txt file in the cumulusih folder (where the settings.ini and all the other files are) - start the gadget - when it hangs: close the gadget If there is something in the debug.txt log, pls send i...

Re: Cumulus Realtime Gadget

When you start the gadget it always comes to the enter settings screen and doesn't show any data even if I set the url in the ini file No data in the settings screen? the default settings should be my realtime.txt file and an interval of 30 seconds. If you don't see that, then your settings.ini is ...

Re: Cumulus Realtime Gadget

Tried re-install and fresh ini file. No luck, still hangs. Does it use a lot of bandwidth? I am in Malawi so have a fairly slow connection? It uses very little bandwidth AFAIK: the realtime.txt file is very small - only 1 record. Where/when does it "hang"? do you see the "settings&qu...

Re: Cumulus Realtime Gadget

Is the caution against using a local realtime.txt still in place? I'm using the local realtime and have updated the .ini file to reflect the location of the realtime.txt file (c:\cumulus\realtime.txt). When I stop and then restart the gadget, it continues to prompt me for settings. When open the se...

Re: Cumulus Realtime Gadget

Hi! Sorry if this has been answered before, but I did search and did not find anything. My Cumulus webpages are served via https and it seems that this is not supported by the gadget? I use this URL https://power.onowingerei.com/weather/realtime.txt and in the settings of the gadget it shows "...

Re: Widget for Android

Just for info: feel free to steal/pinch/borrow from the javascript code in my Nokia widget: https://cumulus.hosiene.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=3724 There's one for realtime.txt: cumulusm, and one for wunderground data: cumulusw If you download and unzip either one of them you will find a cumulus...

Re: Genealogy

Random question for a weather forum, but is anyone else interested in genealogy? Yes, I am - except I haven't had time to do much about it the last couple of years.... So what's so great about your program that I'd want to try it? considering all the other wonderful programs out there like Legacy, ...

Ah - forgot that my WinRar had changed the icon from a "folder with a zip" to a "stack of books" :( Paul C: a quick and dirty solution: when you rename the file to cumulusih.gadget, hit the Delete key several times before you hit Enter - to make sure you get rid of any .zi...

Re: Cumulus Realtime Gadget

My files do not look like the above shown
You didn't unpack the .zip file you downloaded, did you? - you shouldn't.
If the downloaded cumulusih.zip file doesn't look as shown above I have no clue to what is wrong :?
